Paul Gleeson

Paul has rowed across the Atlantic Ocean, cycled coast to coast across Australia and has also rowed 1,900km through the North West Passage in the Canadian High Arctic. He is returning to the Canadian Arctic this coming April. Author of the book “Crossing the Swell”, Paul was honoured by his hometown as Limerick Person of the Year in 2006.

Joanne Murphy

Joanne Murphy is the voice behind the brand Tri Talking Sport, an International sports presenter she provides live sports commentary, event management and marketing consultancy for a variety of events with a keen interest and vast experience in the sports of triathlon, running and cycling.

Donal O’Shea

Established the first hospital based multidisciplinary treatment unit for the management of adult obesity in the country. Is a member of the Department of Health special action group on obesity and chaired a group carrying out a health impact assessment on the potential benefits and harms of a tax on sugar sweetened drinks. Has presented at EU and WHO level on the importance of prevention of childhood obesity.

David Gillick

David is a two time European 400m Champion. He became an Olympian in 2008 and in 2009 finished 6th in the Berlin World Championships. Author of “David Gillick’s Kitchen – Good food from the track to the table”. Works with numerous brands in the corporate world promoting a healthy lifestyle including food, exercise and mental health.

John O’Regan

A three time National Ultra Running Champion, John has represented Ireland on 10 occasions at World & European level in 100K, Ultra Trail and the 24-hour race. In  2017 he completed a Marathon on each of the Seven Continents in less than seven days while running as a guide to blind athlete ‘Sinead Kane’. He has completed a Marathon or Ultra Marathon in over 40 countries taking in some of the most extreme races in the world including the Marathon des Sables, The Tenzing Hillary Everest Marathon, The Yukon Arctic Ultra, The Spartathlon and the North Pole Marathon to name but a few.  A regular contributor to www.alustforlife.com and is  the running coach for Mark Pollock’s Run in the Dark.

 

Noelle Healy

Noelle is a Doctor and Dublin footballer. She is a 2 time All-Ireland medal winner, 3 time All Star and 2017 player of the year.

Jessie Barr

Jessie represented Ireland as an Olympian in 2012. She is a 400m Hurdler and is currently studying for a PhD in sports psychology.

Gerry Hussey

Gerry is a performance psychologist and motivational speaker. Gerry has prepared and led teams for success at Olympic Games, Heineken cups, World cups and All Ireland Championships.

His vast experience has included work with many elite teams including, Professional Rugby, Olympic sailing, Athletics, Olympic Boxing, Track Cycling and GAA.

Ger is a presenter with Off the Ball, Newstalk. Founder of Balls.ie.

Niamh Briggs

Irish rugby player and was captain of 2015 Six Nations winning team.

Stephen Hunt

Stephen is a former football star with 39 Irish international caps and 19 seasons as a professional footballer including in the premier league with Reading, Hull City and Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Joe Brolly

Joe Brolly is a barrister, Gaelic football analyst, writer and former All-Ireland winning footballer with Derry. Joe is an organ donation campaigner with Opt for Life and a keen cyclist.

Derek McGrath

Derek is the current Waterford Senior Hurling manager. Derek is a teacher and former hurler with Waterford.

Liam Hennessy

Dr. Liam Hennessy has spent over 20 years working full- time in sport. Liam is Fitness Coach to Padraig Harrington was previously the Director of Fitness with the IRFU. Liam was also an international athlete, competing over 50 times for Ireland at the Pole vault. Liam is a qualified PE teacher, Exercise Physiologist and Strength & Conditioning Coach and founder of Setanta College.

Roz Purcell is a bestselling cookery author and entrepreneur. Roz has successfully launched a stellar media career and has a passion for healthy food and lifestyle.

Miriam Kerins Hussey

Miriam is a qualified pharmacist with huge passion for holistic health and Wellbeing. This passion led her to train as an Integrated Wellness and Nutritional coach as well as a Yoga instructor, and Holistic Healing Practitioner.

Jenni Trx

Jenni is a former bodybuilding champion and winner of Miss Athletic World. Jenni is an Optimum Nutrition athlete and a sprinter and will be hosting a unique class at Outdoor Revolution.

Nikki Bradley

Nikki Bradley is an adaptive adventurer, speaker and mentor who was given a second chance at the tender age of 16. The diagnosis of a rare form of bone cancer called Ewing’s Sarcoma changed Nikki’s life direction.
Nikki’s toughest challenge to date is due to take place on Saturday 21st of July where she aims to become the first crutch user to climb four iconic Irish mountain peaks in 24 hours.

Aoife Hearne

Aoife is a Registered Dietitian, and TV nutrition expert. Aoife’s background is in athletics as a sprint runner and member of the Irish international squad. She spent 8 years in the United States before establishing her own practice in Waterford and has worked with many elite athletes including the All Ireland winning Tipperary Senior hurling team.

Aileen Flynn

 

Aileen is a Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist at the Beacon Hospital who took part in her first triathlon in 2008, progressing onto her first Ironman in 2014. Only a year later she qualified for the iconic Ironman World Championships in Kona, Hawaii and qualified again in 2017!

Frank Greally

Frank has been editor of Irish Runner magazine since 1981 and Irish junior record holder for 10,000 metres. Passionate about running and has a new found passion for walking.

Alan Quinlan

Alan is a former rugby international. He became Munster’s most capped player with a total of 212 appearances before retiring in May 2011. Alan has 27 caps for Ireland and is a regular commentator with Sky Sports and sports anchor with Newstalk. Since retiring, Alan is a regular ambassador for Young Mental Health Ireland.

Stuart Lancaster

Stuart Lancaster is the Leinster Rugby Senior Coach. Stuart is a qualified teacher and former Leeds Tykes player who played representative rugby with Scotland at age grade level.
He was appointed to the role of England Head Coach in 2011 and led the team through four Six Nations campaigns and a Rugby World Cup in 2015.
Stuart has also held roles with the Atlanta Falcons, with British Cycling’s world-class performance programme, with the English FA and with Counties Manukau in the Mitre 10 Cup in New Zealand. He also runs leadership and coaching courses.

Jonny Holland

Jonny is a former professional rugby player with Munster Rugby. He was forced to retire with injury at age 25 following which he completed a post graduate degree in Applied Sports & Exercise Nutrition. He now runs his own nutrition consultancy business

Seamus Hennessy

Seamus is a former All Ireland medal winner with Tipperary hurling. Seamus is the founder of RunningforJosie, an attempt to raise €200,000 for two Irish suicide awareness charities, Pieta House and Living Links Tipperary by running the Antarctic Ice Marathon on December 13th 2018.
Seamus lost his mother Josie in 2000 to suicide as an 11 year old boy and is passionate about helping avoid other Irish friends and families experiencing the same loss.
